I want to see you back in France quickly so I can listen again to your beautiful beautiful music. So, you just have to get well and, being Chinese, I know that you have to be patient and you’ll feel that you are progressing every day, not much, even very little, but, as we say, you can remove a big mountain by taking away a basket of earth every day.
Don’t forget this Chinese wisdom. Lots of love from an ancient Chinese woman in Bordeaux.

Dean,
I was walking down River Road 35 years ago and you were sitting on a rock playing. We talked a bit. I was really impressed by your dedication. I was inspired.
I heard you play with Nigel Kennedy at the Ordway and was blown away at how much care and intention you put into each note. That was very inspiring and a lesson that I think about every time I play.
Get well real quick. The world needs more Dean Lessons.
