I can honestly say that the sessions on Lake Minnetonka are some of my fondest memories. To me, L is a different musician when you are in the room.

Dean.

You’re one of the most wonderful people and most brilliant musicians I’ve been fortunate enough to make music with. The trio gigs with you Jim (Anton) and myself were some of my fondest Minneapolis music memories–for the music and almost as much for the laughs we had. I’m sending love, strength, health, happiness, laughter, more love, puns, “groaner” jokes…everything to join you in the healing process. Hi Dean,

You performed at a benefit in Marine on the St Croix that helped us fund our adoption our son from India, Syed Hussain Kaul. He was ten when he came here in 1996. I’ve been to a several of your concerts since then and I’ve always said “hi” to you, reintroduced myself and explained who I was. You’ve always said, yes, of course I remember. Now, Syed is a man and he is returning to India for the first time since 1996, with his mother and I in October. We’re very excited and we’ll send you pictures if you are looking for some mild entertainment. But for sure we will be bringing you with us in our hearts to India, and that will lift us and all the people we meet on our journey.

Thank you once again for your gift to us and our best wishes to you on your recovery.
